No one has seen anything, but we hear that the world’s public enemy number one defended himself, that he got a bullet in the head after a crossfire (“a priori,” said France24 [an international news and current affairs television channel]) and that, to respect Muslim burial rights, they rushed to hold the “funeral.” And where’s that, at the bottom of the ocean? A Muslim man in the water, quickly, without ceremony, without witnesses, no proof, everything hidden in the sea and the “autopsy” done at the speed of light …
“No other country would have wanted his remains,” justified the American government. And we’re going to believe that story? It’s true that if he’d been taken alive, he would’ve been annoyingly long-winded; rightly so, we can’t stand that. And to top it all off, it was a prisoner at Guantanamo — you know, the camp that Obama had promised to close — who gave the name of a messenger (?) that allowed them to locate bin Laden’s hiding place, and even a nice official photo with bin Laden’s swollen face, a photo that already has proven to be a hoax. The tragi-comedy is complete!
So, why this whole big circus? A circus that, anyway, allows the non-believers to remember the tragedy of 9/11, just in case they’d forgotten it, with the two airplanes full of bearded terrorists crashing into the most famous towers in the world. Boom! Aren’t those Muslims just awful? Good people, send your children into battle to avenge us! You have to keep the public amused, or at least busy. A scene out of a typical Hollywood Western, except that the body has disappeared. Vanished! Neither seen nor recognized! Just a pretty rumor to unite the world around the biggest threat of the century, again, just in case they’d forgotten. Killing two birds with one stone: we distract, we occupy and … make the people forget their misery, turn their attention away from the real problems of the moment.
Another important distraction: Good people, the cause of your suffering aren’t the people at the top but those close to you, very close to you! Just a bit of work for those who need a reason to make people talk about them and to win over the hearts of the poor, abused citizens — and for the populists who, across the world, build their popularity on the imagined threat of Muslims. The “crisis” is here, very much so. And while parliaments are abolishing all of the protective laws, one after the other, while we’re privatizing everything and anticipating austerity for the people, via the puppets who supported the torture that was Star Academy, here is a pretty page right out of the Far West. It is, good people, to turn your attention away from the essential issues and the true causes of your troubles. As for Obama, let’s not forget that he’s preparing for his reelection and thus other wars to deserve his Nobel Prize. All united under the American flag against the terrorists, and especially to continue glorious imperial adventures all across the world! It’s a spectacle of emotion and information, during which the leaders of multinational businesses and the lying media have their pockets full to bursting with money. Too bad for the ruins, the wounded, the dead, the orphans, the widows … and the malformed future.
