U.S. President George W. Bush insisted ending his presidency in the same way which it began – bringing disasters and wars to the world. The U.S. aircraft brutally raided Albuqmal, a city located on Syrian borders with Iraq under a pretext of eliminating dealers who send terrorists to Iraq. On the other hand, a clip taken by an amateur and quoted on Syrian television which showed eight civilian farmers dead men, four wounded by the strike and four children were also killed.
The U.S. military is almost, on a daily basis, launching raids on populated areas along Pakistani borders to Afghanistan under the same pretext. This pretext is fighting terrorism and chasing terrorists. As a result, hundreds of innocent Pakistanis fell and injured, at a time in which Washington tries to establish a dialogue with Taliban (Al Qaeda)!
American air raids against the two countries are evidence of political confusion, not of strength. ItÂ’s also an evidence of a total failure in both Afghanistan and Iraq. It is perhaps a chapter from (Last Death Dance) at the hands the U.S. administration itself. [Hopefully, people of the word are crossing their hands with silver to see Barack Obama fixing up and clearing the U.S. image in the whole world]. On the other hand, the current Republican administration is withdrawing tails of failure in all policies practiced internationally, since Bush’s took over up to this moment though trying to take advantage of [any in-hand points] to the last breath. But, the tables are quickly turned as a reflection of arrogant and tyrant policy rather than accurate and calculated political steps to administer the strongest country in the world. Bush’s administration ended its presidency period while America is drenched in a global economic crisis, caused by reckless and foolish economic policies practiced over the past eight years.
Some American political experts commented on recent raid made over Syria, as it is a strategic shift for the U.S. in Iraq. This is not accurate; as it means nothing but an attack, and U.S.-occupation of Iraq is not far from this. What prevents America from moving into a new Arab country is its failure in Iraq and Afghanistan. Therefore, it won’t be logical to open a new front on a military basis. Especially that Bush and members of his administration are to leave the white house soon. So, it is unlikely to make a new strategic shift, because under this new approach, America should bomb Iranian nuclear facilities; opening another military front against Tehran and Syria as they accuse the U.S. of sabotaging situation in Iraq and training terrorists. America at this stage is unable to take this decision and bear its consequences.
Strangely enough, America accused Syria of not controlling its border with Iraq, while the former could not control its border with Mexico as hundreds of illegal immigrants infiltrate its borders daily. Here comes a question: Why American forces still occupying Iraq cannot control borders with Syria? And why Syria is the one that has to control the borders between the two countries?
Another sign of arrogance overtaking the White House is the refusal to make any changes of any kind in security convention draft with Iraq. Although the Iraqi government approved minor adjustments, Washington insists on to have permanent military bases in Iraq. The agreement provides legal U.S. presence in the Arab country which reveals the truth about the U.S. strategic vision. That is; Iraq, pan-Arab region or other regional countries should be in a double harmony with other strategic ally which is: Israel.
The U.S. air strike on Syria is bullying in every sense, as described by Syrian foreign minister, Walid Moallem.
“It is an act of terrorism by which Washington wants to make a third party responsible of failure consequences in Iraq,” he said.
