US Authorities Still Concealing Answers to 9/11 Mysteries

Ten years after the largest terrorist attack in the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, U.S. authorities still have not given concrete answers to many questions surrounding the destruction of the World Trade Center, the crash of one of the four planes hijacked by terrorists, and the stance of U.S. authorities in the investigation of these attacks.

For members of the press, scientists, and witnesses, the question that is still keeping them up at night is what caused the sudden collapse of the twin towers.

When watching the video recordings from the moment the towers were rammed by the two planes until they collapsed to their base, fewer and fewer Americans believe the official version that both buildings were reduced to dust as a result of the plane crashes and the fires that started inside the buildings.

According to information compiled by the press, the skyscrapers were constructed with the exact expectation that airplane crashes were a possible threat.

This was because a precedent had already been set in 1945 when a B-25 Mitchell bomber plane hit the Empire State Building, which was at that time the highest building in New York.

Thus, developers estimated that the World Trade Center should be able to resist multiple impacts from a Boeing 707, the largest passenger plane in existence when the buildings were built.

It’s worth remembering that the towers demonstrated their resistance to bombing attacks in February of 1993 when a truck bomb with 1,500 pounds of explosives blew up in the New York commercial center’s underground parking lot.

The blast, which caused six deaths and over 1,000 injuries in the building’s basement, formed a crater at least 200 feet wide and 100 feet deep, and although a temporary evacuation of the twin towers was ordered, the buildings were not damaged enough to prevent their use.

But on Sept. 11, 2001, both towers collapsed in seconds, like a house of cards, after plane crashes with parameters much lower than those the buildings were meant to withstand.

Fire experts cited by specialized U.S. magazines pointed out that never before had a fire caused the total destruction of a steel-constructed building.

The analysis of debris from the World Trade Center, among which were found fragments of melted steel, is still a subject of intense debate among experts, most of all because of the official stance — which denies this fact — now that its recognition could lead to questions that are even more difficult to answer.

Most reports and studies conducted by independent agents and organizations reject the theory that the explosion caused by the impact of the planes, with their nearly full fuel tanks, produced temperatures upwards of 3000 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature necessary to melt the metal framework of the buildings.

Experts point out that the towers collapsed in a strictly vertical fashion from the base, so that each floor of the building collapsed onto the one below and so on until the entire building was reduced to a pile of rubble.

Calculations made by independent experts from video recordings demonstrate that the World Trade Center did not collapse in 18 to 20 seconds as the official version states, but in a much quicker period: between 6.5 and 10 seconds, which corresponds to free-fall speed.

In the opinion of many engineers, such a situation could only occur if every part of the ground floor was destroyed even before the building began to collapse. Some experts suggest that there were external agents and that the collapse of the World Trade Center was the result of an internal cause at the base of the building itself.

Another great mystery was the collapse of a third building, 7 World Trade Center, which collapsed like the other two towers, without having been hit directly by a plane, and whose destruction, according to experts, has the characteristics of a controlled demolition.

Among the factors that contribute to the mystery surrounding the situation is the fact that this building housed one of the most important offices of the CIA, as well as important offices belonging to the Department of Defense, the Secret Service and many other federal security entities.

Furthermore, experts point out that news media organizations such as the BBC reported the collapse of 7 World Trade Center before it happened.

Another issue that clouds the official version is the declarations and testimonies of many witnesses who say that they heard and felt explosions not only before the collapse of the towers, but also before the planes hit.

When the press consulted experts who studied the debris, the experts pointed out that melted steel fragments had a yellow color that could be an indication of explosives. For many, another proof of explosions was the smoke that came out of the buildings, according to a study by Danish experts.

According to these experts, most of the concrete structures were reduced to a fine powder, which indicates an explosion, not a collapse. The collapse of the buildings was also accompanied by a debris cloud characteristic of explosions.

Experts in an Italian investigation center pointed out that the rubble contained evidence of sulfur and barium nitrate, explosive components used by the military.

But what most troubles public opinion is the witch hunt that authorities launched against civil servants who dared to question the official version of the four attacks on that fateful day.

Many were reprimanded, and the boldest were dismissed from their posts. The people of New York are suspicious because the Secret Service confiscated and did not publish important witness evidence, such as a video recording of several hours made inside and outside of the twin towers.

It’s no secret that the FBI prevented many people who were familiar with important details of this tragedy from having contact with the press or making public statements about what they saw in the World Trade Center.

More unanswered questions also surround the story of the plane that hit the Pentagon. Skeptics point out that the plane had to make at least a 270-degree turn in a confined space, a difficult maneuver for passenger planes.

What’s more, the damages to the Pentagon building were very strange and not at all similar to those caused by the planes that hit the towers in New York.

Many people find it hard to believe that a terrorist with only basic piloting skills could have performed the maneuver used to orient the plane towards the Pentagon. But what is so difficult to understand is how security cameras in the area captured the explosion in the building, but not the moment of the plane crash.

What is also very strange are the cell phone conversations between supposed passengers on the planes and their loved ones as they narrated the horrors of the hijacking, which were spread by many press outlets after it was definitively made known that mobile communication was impossible due to interference and the distance between the planes and the cell sites of most service providers.

The credibility of the official version of 9/11 became very complicated once information about the terrorists was circulated by the press, from their ability to pilot planes of those dimensions to their life styles, which were incompatible with orthodox Islam.

The position adopted by the authorities stands out amid this avalanche of contradictory information, which, in the case of 9/11, involves allowing the circulation of the greatest amount of disinformation possible in order to reduce the people’s ability to understand what happened.

But this is a mistake, because, in these days of remembrance during the 10th anniversary of that tragedy, the most people with common sense feel a bitter sense of powerlessness at the suspicion that someone, for some reason, is hiding the truth from us.
