China and Russia Increase Cooperation To Shatter US Domination

On the eve of his visit to China, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that China is a reliable friend of Russia. Expanding interaction with China is, undoubtedly, a priority for Russia’s foreign policy. The two countries will work together to oppose attempts to falsify history and make the intents of the fascists and their accomplices heroic. With the United States currently isolating Russia and imposing containment on China, the strengthening of strategic cooperation between China and Russia is becoming extremely crucial in defending territorial sovereignty and protecting international order post-World War II. This would not only create an important force to shatter U.S. domination, but also promote balanced multipolar development for the world.

Encouraged by the instigation from the U.S., Japan’s ambition to return to militarism has been gradually increasing in recent years. Japan has not only challenged China on the issue over the Diaoyu Islands (Senkaku Islands), but has also deliberately sought to amend the agreement made post-World War II and to overthrow world order by repeating history and strengthening its military, thus posing a threat to regional security and the safety of the people. In response, Putin emphasized that “we will certainly continue to oppose attempts to falsify history, turn fascists and their accomplices into heroes, blacken the memory and reputation of heroic liberators.” During Putin’s visit to China, Russia and China will discuss the joint activities to be held next year for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism. The two countries will also launch a joint naval exercise in the East China Sea. This series of actions is meant to send a clear message to Japan: As world superpowers, China and Russia willingly bear the responsibility of maintaining world peace and do not tolerate the resurgence of Japan’s militarism. China and Russia will certainly not be bystanders as Japan attempts to repeat its history of aggression.

Putin’s visit to China coincides with the West’s sanctions toward and isolation of Russia as a result of the issue over Ukraine. At the same time, due to the U.S. “pivot to Asia,” conflicts between China and Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines and other neighboring nations have suddenly become frequent. With instigation from the U.S., the territorial sovereignty of China and Russia, and their core interests, is facing serious challenges. Under these circumstances, Putin attended his fourth Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) while visiting China, and made a rare appearance with Chinese President Xi Jingping during the opening ceremony of the joint exercises for naval cooperation. They intended to emphasize the two countries’ strategic partnership and intimate relations. Their stance on international issues is aligned and their determination on mutual support for defending their sovereignty is unwavering. This will create many opportunities for protecting the strategic interests between China and Russia.

The U.S. attempts to maintain domination over global situations by brazenly exporting its ideologies to the world and creating more turmoil. The strengthening of the strategic partnership between China and Russia creates a force that keeps American domination under control and shatters the unipolar world, promoting global diversification and balanced development. With further cooperation between China and Russia in military, foreign affairs, the economy and other aspects, and with an increase in mutual trust, the two countries will establish a more effective mechanism for cooperation to jointly tackle new challenges and threats and take on a more active role in maintaining world peace and stability.
