America in Pakistan’s Democracy

1. The story sounds like a disgraced woman tells her tale to the public. The writer hasn’t said a word about the solution – solution in mutual interests of both Pakistan and America. America’s dirty linen has been washed now so many times that the country has lost its respect. One wonders what America has gained from its role especially in the countries freed from colonial rule. Let us focus on simply India and Pakistan. India started its democracy with a misguided and enraged autocrat Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He was so full of hatred for Pakistan’s creator Jinnah that he did everything to bleed it to die. In so doing he got the partitioning of Punjab and Bengal causing a blood bath in both places. He tried to grab Kashmir which he could not chew. For India, he had no place for an opposition party and, therefore, India has ever since played its democracy without any rules. He created a dynasty. His daughter Indra even surpassed her father in the hatred of Pakistan. Then after a while came the BJP thugs. America praises and lauds India’s democracy that is still run without the playing rules. What is most shameful for India is that it is keeping out of its political and social mainstream 240 million Dalits (formerly untouchables) and almost 150 million Muslims plus another 50 million Sikhs and poverty stricken Christians. Now turn to Pakistan. It disgraced itself from the first prime Minister to the incumbent one. The first Prime Minister failed to carry the priority of land reforms, which at least Nehru did as his first act in parliament. There were no elections, no opposition party and no playing rules. One fails to understand why blame America? The Pakistan rulers behaved before America like a call girl. And let us have a look at America. It has been befooled by a Jewish community that carries a curse from it from the heavens. Here is a statement from Israel’s founding father: “““If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti – Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?” As if this not enough, Ben-Gurion outright rejected God’s name for allegiance of the new country and replaced it with a symbolic “Rock of Israel.” He snapped to the Rabbis with the remark that “God did not do enough for Jews to deserve that.” Both Israel and America are doomed. Israel dismissed God in god’s own sacred land. And America succumbed to American Jewish lobby’s lavish findings in campaign for Israel’s choice of Congress Senators. There may still be a glimmer of hope for America to bow down before the Puritans God in repentance and reverse its foreign policy for the good of the people rather for corrupt and out dated regimes. Pakistan needs to emulate Turkey and raise its own Young Turks to baptize the parliament through a genuine democracy played by the rules a both parties manifestos emphasized that the sovereign of the state rests with the people.
