Islam is not only a religion of peace it is also a zealot promoter of peace and harmony. The missing link in the Muslims in America is they are oriented more with the rhetoric than substance of Islam. Another fault line, this time in the whole Muslim world, is that Islam has lost its touch with the modern democratic world. The Muslim masses barring solitary cases of Turkey and Malaysia are shackled in autocracy. One finds no tangible contribution of Muslims living in America to reciprocate the freedom of religion they are enjoying here. Islam’s image is so badly tarnished that it requires nothing less than a renaissance to restore its glow. Mosque is a place for prayers and learning of the Qur’an. But woefully, prayers are reduced to ritualism and the teachings of Qur’an have been replaced with empty rhetoric. Take for instance the term Jihad. The entire Jihadist is completely ignorant of the meaning and essence of Jihad. The Prophet is reported to have said after the last expedition: We are mowing moving towards the bigger Jihad, meaning learning the values of Islam and promoting them. One needs permission from parents to go out even for seeking employment. The Taliban are much ignorant of Jihad. It is a safe bet that 99 per cent Taliban lack the basic teachings of Qur’an. Their pattern of Shar’ia is borrowed from the Saudis. The Saudi Shar’ia is buried under the weight of too much prevention of vice. The Royalty is a square peg in a round hole. Saudis have slipped into the medieval age. Islamic Shar’ia begins with a clean slate. It wasn’t imposed immediately after the Prophet won the victory of Mecca. There is no Shar’ia anywhere. Shar’ia is a blessing. Islam’s blessings have not permeated in America. I am a layman; a senior citizen of Pakistan and I have launched a Jihad to help strengthen Obama’s hands by offering him various options for a palatable solution of the Israel–Palestinians conflict. Both Presidents, Shimon Peres and Barack Obama are aware of it. The solution options are more n favour of Israel as to Israel’s woe its founding father had blundered at the founding ceremony by rejecting faith in God rather disdainfully and the Zionists took the oath of an abstract “Rock” of Israel. Israel is placed under a looming threat from the heavens. To ward off the impending threat it needs validation of Israel by rescinding the previous oath and replacing it with reaffirmation of faith in God. Jews also must seek lifting of the ‘exile’ with sincere invocation to God before they can put their step in the holy land. Here lies the crux of the conflict. Palestinians are mired in ignorance and its faction Hamas was created by Israel to divide the Palestinians. By amicably solving this conflict in which both sides would be winners and no losers, Obama’s popularity might hopefully place him second only to Abraham Lincoln.
