U.S. President Barack Obama boasted that his administration has stood by and supported Israel more than any other U.S. administration! In that case, one should look for another alternative to President Obama. I will propose that perhaps the National Authority give him a prize for the explicit recognition of the obvious and do so while disregarding any illusion of a possibly fair role the United States could play in the peace process in the Middle East! I propose that the name of the award be “The Prize of Denying Promises and Hope,” because America’s unwavering support for Israel has always and still means that the U.S. administrations will deny their promises and contradict their political rhetoric to the Palestinians and Arabs who threatened to support the Palestinians' just demands for a just peace: the road map from anti-settlement to the two-state solution.
For Israel’s security will never need peace when it has U.S. administrations, regardless of the party. Obama’s boasting shows that he does not want this to be an issue for the Republican Party, which replied that he was clearly joking. Republicans believe that Obama is still falling short in supporting Israel, even though he approved the missile shield and despite all he said about the Palestinian State in 1967, his opposition to settlements and his constant demand for direct Israeli-Palestinian negotiations without predetermined conditions!
In that case, I don’t think that anyone could offer a prize to Obama that was not for deception, denial and forgetfulness, lest I wished to help Pharaoh and say this to those who cheered that day when a black man was inaugurated into the White House; they hailed it as a triumph of democracy and a sign of the radical changes in the American mentality, which will never be non-liberal, which knows nothing about morals but only the benefits associated with materialism.
This is the “fragrance” of the awesome Obama that the Arab intellectuals spun when Obama entered the White House. They preached that it would spread to the whole world, wherein we now have gasmasks.
