Israeli Attempts To Evade Peace

Over the past days — since the announcement of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Agreement until now — Israel has intensified its efforts to breach the agreement, end the ceasefire in Gaza and evade its commitments under the provisions of the American peace initiative. This initiative, adopted by the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey and welcomed by many Arab, Muslim and European leaders, laid the foundation for a specific and agreed-upon roadmap to achieve peace, stability and security in the Arab and Middle Eastern region — currently and for decades the most anxious and turbulent region in the world.

It has become clear that the extremist and racist Israeli government is persistently seeking to break away from the international consensus that emerged from the Sharm El-Sheikh summit. This consensus aimed to end the war on Gaza and open a new chapter in the region's history, based on peace for all peoples in the region. It has become evident to all that Benjamin Netanyahu and his terrorist Zionist gang believe that a ceasefire prevents them from achieving their main goal: the destruction of the Palestinian people through killing, a war of extermination, blockade and starvation — ultimately aiming to completely eliminate the Palestinian cause itself. This would allow an unimpeded Israel to engulf all Palestinian land.

To achieve this, Israel has resorted to creating and fabricating numerous pretexts to evade the agreement it had reluctantly accepted, and to return to war, destruction, killing and extermination.

In this context, Israel claimed that Hamas failed to meet its obligations under the first phase of the American peace initiative, specifically by delaying the handover of the remains of deceased hostages. However, this claim failed to convince the United States and other countries, prompting Israel to seek other pretexts to evade implementing the second phase of the peace agreement.

All these ongoing attempts by Israel require considerable attention and caution from the key partners and stakeholders in the peace process, as well as permanent and continuous coordination among Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and the United States. This is essential to ensure the faithful and complete implementation of the terms of the initiative and the decisions of the Sharm El-Sheikh peace summit.
