Trump hasn't yet satisfied his building lust — more is coming soon.
The French are going to have a field day. The Arc de Triomphe in Paris has been unique for the longest time, but now, along comes the U.S. president with his Arc de Trump. Construction began last week on this monstrosity of a structure, which will rise 76 meters (about 249 feet) into the sky over Washington, D.C., and remind citizens at every turn of the paramount importance of their political leader. The fact that the French and Napoleon come up shorter in terms of the arch height (49 m, 54 m; about 160 feet, 177 feet) is no coincidence, but rather Donald Trump having a dig at them. He may like the Russians and North Koreans, but the pretentious French have always been a thorn in his side.
Portrait on Mount Rushmore
It’s just an illusion to assume that Trump would satisfy his building frenzy with the monstrosity in Washington. In the U.S., carving Trump's likeness into Mount Rushmore is still pending. To get this started, we would need to blast away the four already immortalized underachievers. But that's when things will really get going, and do so abroad, since Trump knows no bounds, and everything in the U.S. is already named after him. Plans include a Trump triple Eiffel Tower in Paris, a Trump quadruple Vatican in Rome, the world’s largest Trump snowman in Greenland, the Trump data center in Brazil (with the prep work completely deforesting a rainforest), and, to top it all off, the Trump super-duper Ferris wheel in Vienna. We're all really looking forward to it.
