Fox News Rages Against Communists, Fascists and Obama
American journalist Lou Dobbs is campaigning for Republican Mitt Romney and against the Democrat and "non-American" Barack Obama on the Fox News Channel. But, as he always insists, it's all fair and balanced.
Lou Dobbs is a well-known journalist. Previously he worked at CNN and enjoyed a great reputation in the broadcast industry. But he has a problem. Well, actually he has a lot of problems. For example, he doesn't like Democrats. Supposedly because his boss was too close to Bill Clinton, he left CNN the first time in 1999. And he doesn't like immigrants, either.
He blamed the spread of leprosy in the U.S. on illegal immigrants in 2005. In 2008, he publicly announced he had doubts that Barack Obama was really an American. When CNN insisted that he cease and desist making this provably false charge, he gave his notice at CNN once again in 2009. This time it was the combination of an immigrant AND a Democrat wanting to become President of the United States.
So it's no surprise that in this election, Lou Dobbs — with complete fairness and balance, of course — decided to look again into Barack Obama's election campaign. He immediately noticed the Obama campaign was using a new video spot with the slogan “Forward.” What a word! Lou knew that word had significant history.
Lou knew that communist, socialist and Bolshevist newspapers used that word as a title. Like “Vorwärts” in Germany, or “Avanti” in Italy, whose editor in chief had once been a certain Benito Mussolini, who later became a Fascist!
No, no, Lou isn't trying to insinuate anything, he's merely pointing out that communists and fascists were the inspiration for Obama's “Forward” slogan. Goodness gracious, it gets worse and worse. So now Lou Dobbs is nothing less than an unpaid campaign worker for Mitt Romney on the Fox News Network.
But, as he insists, it's always “completely fair and balanced.”
