America's Dangerous Game in Pakistan

Following the increasing objection to America’s attacks against Pakistani border villages and the subsequent murder of several civilians, The Sunday Times wrote about America’s dangerous game in Pakistan.

Last week, during one of these attacks, more than 20 people were killed and many more were injured. In addition to the condemnation of these attacks by Pakistan’s government and military groups, the Pakistani people also showed their objection and hatred in widespread anti-American demonstrations in various cities of Pakistan. The Pakistani air force has announced that it will attack American UAVs, or unmanned aerial vehicle.

This action could inevitably escalate tension between the two countries. Sharing the same view point, the British media, including The Sunday Times, have evaluated the presence of America in the area; they believe that the borderline villages of Pakistan will be like quicksand for America, and it will not be easy to get out. History shows that Russia had the same experience in the border villages of Afghanistan. Nonetheless, America’s attacks on Pakistani border villages show that Washington will do anything to achieve its goals, even if it must step over a non-NATO ally.
