Calling America to Kurdish Ambitions

Iraq is currently turning its attention to the serious danger posed by the Kurdish gangs that plan to further loot the country’s wealth and seize its territory. However, the Iraqi state is currently weak, unable to deal with the Kurds. Thus, it is necessary to use the United States to provide the required protection.

I call on the Iraqi government to demand that America include a condition in the Security Agreement that limits the Kurds’ ambitions and plots of aggression against Iraq. So inasmuch as the agreement is concerned with security–the security of the Iraqi economy, population, and geography–it now should be concerned with the serious danger of the Kurdish gangs that try to steal everything and to destroy our homeland.

Actually strong indications have appeared that the U.S. reject the Kurdish gangs’ behavior. The American Consul explained in Kirkuk that the governorate is illegal and that it is the responsibility of the Kurds to understand that they are not living alone in this city, referencing the actions of the chauvinistic and racist Kurds against the Arabs, the Turkmen, and the Assyrians. Also, a US military official criticized the northern Iraqi spread of Kurdish militia inside the cities of Kirkuk, Diyala, and Mosul, that appears to be more like a military occupation of these towns.

Indeed the Security Agreement with America is a paramount strategic necessity for Iraq and a golden opportunity to benefit from American political, administrative, scientific, and economic experience of building our homeland from scratch. It is certain that America will guarantee the security and stability of Iraq and suppress the dirty Kurdish ambitions.
