The American Cultural Revolution

“What next?” This question is raised by the people who watched the presidential elections in America. The black man of African and Islamic descent, has already penetrated the walls of the White House. Is this the beginning of a new age where cultures, races, colours, and classes melt away? Did the American society realize Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream by opening the doors of the White House to a black man for the first time? Did the American society break all of the racial barriers that the white immigrants built and that were based on inhuman principals and racial manners?

Thus, can we say that the cultural and social revolution which started in the USA is coming? Can we say that this revolution will move to the rest of the world according to the laws of universality, liberality, consent of others, and mastery of discussion over conflict?

Thirty years ago, a black youth was prohibited from walking with a white girl in America. Furthermore, the black man would be kept in custody by law and would be killed by gangs of white extremists if he married a white woman. At the present time, some racists who own and run hotels and restaurants in some of the southern states of the U.S. still hang a signboard outside stating that, “The Entrance of Blacks and Dogs is Prohibited”!

In fact, Barack Obama’s election as U.S. president will put an end to the critical epoch in which the African slaves have lived for more than two centuries after the pirates and the white thieves abducted them from their cities and villages in Africa. Thereafter, they shipped those slaves to the new world in order for the new immigrants, who came from Europe, to exploit them and treat them with inhumanity and with no mercy! Obama’s selection means that the world witnesses now the beginning of the Cultural Revolution which will root out the racial hatred from the imbeciles and the sick. And finally, human will triumph over animal, good over evil, freedom over dictatorship, love over hate, and peace over war.

Americans have the right to celebrate their victory and revolution. Meanwhile, the nations of the world should participate in their happiness. On the other hand, it is time that our Third World wakes up from its coma and drops his gloomy veil that separated it from the world. Our Third World should observe the facts of the new era. The change is indeed coming and the fast train of democracy will reach its destination in order to eliminate underdevelopment and ignorance.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that what happened on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in the U.S. presidential elections has the same seriousness as the fall of the U.S.S.R. and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
