  1. There is, of course, an extremely important issue that has been raised by the illegal building permit fiasco in Israel’s Knesset: that is, whose finger is on the nuclear button that can deploy the world’s largest, secret nuclear arsenal?

Is it Binyamin Netanyahu, the nominal leader of the fragile Likud coalition or is it the leader of Shas, the fundamentalist-religious, coalition faction?

Clearly, Netanyahu, by his own admission, is completely ignorant of the actions of the Shas-controlled Interior Ministry, a situation which, if it were not so serious, would be comic.

This massive, nuclear stockpile which is completely outside the inspection of the United Nations’ IAEA is under the control of whom, exactly? The Israeli Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister, the Interior Minister, The Health Minister, the Housing Minister, Likud, Kadima, Israel’s entrant to the European Song Contest, whom?

Unfortunately, it is very far from being a joke, for as there is no obvious control over these hundreds of nuclear warheads, they could, one day, impact all our lives. And the US, having colluded in this travesty, now finds itself powerless to intervene and at the mercy of its own schizoid child that has been given dangerous, adult toys.
