A Donkey Candidate for the American Presidency

In the streets of Washington, one does not find pictures of the president or other symbols representing him. In some corners, though, you might see monuments of a donkey in the colors of the American flag, a clear sign of the dominance of the Democratic Party. It is also an indicator of the absence of elephants in the American environment, compared to the presence of donkeys everywhere. It isn’t only in the streets that one finds statues of donkeys, or in parks and forests. The poetry of the Republican party is about the elephant; however, the tradition of absolute loyalty to Israel that is derived from the party allows the admission of donkeys to the list of party members, all the way to its leadership and deputies in Congress.

The candidate from the Republican Party, Newt Gingrich, is competing these days to enter the White House, and some of the citizens from the Southern states are telling him “We do not need a fool like you!” This oaf of a man is rushing to reach the square of Zionist influence through statements that play fast and loose with facts. They provoke resentment and condemnation and incite hostilities among disaffected Arabs, Muslims, and even in intellectuals in the U.S., Europe and Israel as well. He has denied the existence of a Palestinian people, referring to the lack of need for peace negotiations and suggestions and plans to establish a state. According to these statements, he has called for the transfer of the capital of Zionism from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the prevention of the return of Palestinians in the diaspora to the occupied territories under any pretext, continued support of the Zionist state, and the rejection of any idea of peaceful nuclear disarmament.

Indeed, this daft radical is a sycophant of the Zionist bloc in order to gain the support of Jews in the upcoming presidential election. He does not understand anything from history, and he will be worse than any extremist rabbi or anyone who uses religion to destroy the lives of people through false interpretations. It is quite clear that he will put all of the eggs in the Israeli basket by supporting Zionist activity in many respects, eliminating all of the peace agreements that consumed multiple decades, and putting the capabilities of the United States in the service of the illegitimate entity [Israel] in any possible war. On the other hand, he would damage the forces of resistance and Arab governments that face Israeli hardship. This is extremely dangerous, because it would open the gates of hell on Washington and its notorious ally. Besides this, it would also increase the appetite of militant religious forces in the Arab and Islamic countries and strengthen the trend of extremism among the rabbis and leaders of Israel.

It seems that most Republican candidates live with these confused sentiments and muddled state of mind. The other candidate, Romney, who won the first primary in the race to be the party’s candidate, said a few days ago that he would occupy Iraq again if he won. Americans, especially advocates of the Occupy Wall Street movement, hold the Republican Party responsible for all the problems that resulted from the foolish policy of recent years. It cost the United States one loss after another in the face of economic and political challenges. At the level of foreign conflict, it is what pushes Republicans to more confusion, mistakes and blunders, which will lead to their subsequent loss in the upcoming U.S. presidential elections.
