The woman in the photo below could be retired. Her banner reads, “Cut your budget, not mine.” However, if Obama cuts the budget, he will cut her pension. In front of her, a man is dressed in 18th century style; at that time, the gold standard backed currency.
This attitude is very common: We all see how the states squander with the others. “Have I earned my Medicaid?” I said to an African-American taxi driver belonging to the tea party. Medicaid is the health assistance program for the poor. The taxi driver will retire in 2013, and will have to depend on Medicaid and Medicare (health assistance for the elderly). Those people are a wreck for the public accounts of the U.S. This way, the very conservative taxi driver will be a hole in the states.
The diagram that begins this post is equally significant, in my opinion. Red? Red states are the Republican states. Blue? The Democratic states. You see this diagram and conclude that the Republicans, who always talk about the evil that is the State, live at the expense of it.
It is like when Mitt Romney, two Harvard degrees, $250 million in assets, criticizes the elites. Or like when Newt Gingrich, with a half-million-dollar line of credit at Tiffany’s and $3 million in income last year, does the same.
The facts are from 2004, but I do not think they have changed much. Just in case, North Dakota, which is living in a petroleum boom, will now be a little better. But aside from that, things will have changed very little.
It is liberal communism.
