Another murder of a Russian child in America.

Now take to the streets, protest against the villains! Go, protest, protest! In your fury, toward the American embassy, go!

For some reason, nobody’s going.

I lived in the U.S. once, for a little more than five years. And I am convinced that America is an extremely aggressive nation. In its aggressiveness lies the secret to its extraordinary success in the world. However, this aggression has a downside. Its psyche is severely damaged. There are plenty of skeletons in its closets.

My American girlfriend, Betsy K., once told me a statistic that struck me (it was at the end of the summer of 1981, if I’m not mistaken): “21 percent of American women, Edward, were raped by their fathers as children,” she told me.

At this point, my opponents can collectively scream with indignation.

And one evening, I remember, I went for a walk around the town that I lived in with Betsy, in California. And I paid great attention to every fifth house, to see if in those slick American bungalows there were any abused children screaming in terror…

It is interesting to try to understand why Americans adopt children.

We know that Americans adopt Chinese children in the greatest numbers. The question is: Why do Americans adopt Chinese children who, of course, they will never be able to pass off as their own? Do they want to look original in the eyes of their neighbors? Do they want to keep the Chinese child like some kind of exotic house pet? Like exotic servants were kept in the houses in the past? What is clear is that having a Chinese child is one way to draw attention to oneself. The large heap of blonde moms with their large behinds and small, fragile Chinese children at their enormous knees… “That’s wonderful!” Americans do not adopt for the sake of the child, but for themselves, as if they have bought themselves a new doll. Or an exotic house pet. Those are my thoughts on why Americans mostly adopt Chinese children.
