Support

Edited by Robert O’Connor

Obama said, in his communication between himself and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, that he will not abandon his support of the opposition in Syria. In doing so he extended the soft speaking to which we are accustomed and to which the Syrian revolution has become accustomed over two and a half years. It flayed the skin of the Syrian people; sank in their blood, their pain and their tragedies. It displaced their children and their women and killed their youth. It destroyed their towns, their economies, their civilizations, their monuments and everything they had. It was possible for Obama and his allies to end this tragedy in less than a few months by helping the rebels; they are advocates of the democracy and the self-determination to whom they [Obama and his allies] do not respond except on a whim.

It was within their power to end this tragedy in a few months if they supported the revolution or kept their promises toward it. However, they continued with lies and prevarications from England to France to America. They said today that they will arm the opposition tomorrow, switching what they said. They talk about their inability to arm the opposition, fearing they would be sending weapons to extremists or because their parliaments are opposed and they cannot agree or other flimsy excuses. However, the thing is clear and obvious. It is that they do not want to send help to the Syrian revolution, for some unknown reason. It means an extension of suffering and pain for the Syrian people, who are exposed to the most lethal pain. Thus, I have exposed your tricks and your lies. So, why do they continue those lies and [why] are they not ashamed?
