Peace Prize Winner Becomes 'War President'

Facing the furious group sentiment of the anti-war American populace, Obama delivered a televised speech packed with gunpowder; with quotes ranging from “military action” to “not fighting will jeopardize American security,” one can see that he is currently just looking for a fight. Regardless of how eloquently Obama may speak and the strength of his performing skills, his bellicosity is still thoroughly exposed. According to Western media, since Obama took office, not only did he launch conflict in Libya and direct the coup in Egypt, but he has also held over 200 military exercises in South Korea, Japan and the Philippines; he is a veritable “war president.”

Before Obama entered the White House, he was strongly against George W. Bush’s launch of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He promised he would quickly withdraw troops from those countries and also invigorate the government to do its utmost to improve the economy and people’s livelihoods. His sonorous and powerful promises won the highest praise from all of the world’s people. Obama also won the Nobel Peace Prize for his beautiful vision for world peace. However, upon entering the White House, Obama’s actions completely lost form. He’s not only forgotten his former promises, he’s also become like a “hired thug,” ready to invade other countries whenever there is a military movement. Under his guidance, global media’s most repeated phrase has been “military attack” and the Middle East has been shrouded in war, demonstrating that this former Nobel Peace Prize winner has already been into the White House “super vat,” becoming a “war president.”

According to the calculations of U.S. anti-war organizations, from the founding of the United States in 1776 on, it has already instigated more than 200 wars. Around the time Obama entered the White House, he became quite a different person. Today he is already like an old proprietor peddling war with Syria, showing that the White House is a “base camp” for training “militants.” Warfare can bring benefits to the U.S. in the munitions market, as well as shift public dissatisfaction away from government administration. Every person who serves as U.S. president is unable to evade this magician’s spell. The latest U.S. survey results show that at present 60 million people are going hungry and the unemployed number over 12 million, reflecting that America’s economy is very poor. Obama is still eager, however, to make an incursion into Syria, proving that the White House is unable to depart from its bellicose nature.

Obama Already Forcing Himself Toward a “Dead End”

An old Hong Kong Chinese medicine practitioner told me that out of the several tens of thousands of sick people he’s faced in the past decades, 80 percent of those illnesses were of the patient’s own doing — some were caused by anxiety, some were caused by fright, some illnesses were caused by bad habits and even more were inflicted through improper eating habits. Those that were genuinely caused by physical disease made up less than 20 percent. In business, many of the causes of bankruptcy are self-inflicted out of neglect of proper duties and stubborn belief in dishonest practices. It’s similar to Bush’s invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan at the beginning of this century, which caused an economic crisis. Obama’s current excuse and reasoning for the attack on Syria is extraordinarily similar: “because it’s America,” therefore we choose to fight, choose to strike others. This will take the U.S. once more into a calamitous abyss, presenting clearly that a nation’s calamity may also be self-inflicted.

Obama, in order to seek congressional and public support for an attack on Syria, said that he knows that the past decade has made Americans weary of war; therefore, he won’t dispatch troops to get involved in other countries’ conflicts again, but America cannot turn a blind eye to Syria. Otherwise, terrorists will very likely use chemical weapons to launch an attack on the U.S. “Because it’s America,” the White House will take charge of all global affairs, Washington will play the part of the world’s police and the Pentagon will find excuses to attack others. “Because it’s America” has already become Obama’s adopted magic spell for military action; it will also force him into a “dead end.”

Putin Has Already Taken the Moral High Ground

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough acknowledges that there is not “irrefutable, beyond-a-reasonable-doubt evidence” which determines the Syrian government used chemical weapons, but they have “video proof of the outcome of those attacks that leads to a quite strong common-sense test irrespective of the intelligence that suggests that the regime carried this out.” The U.N. chemical weapons team said early on that what they are capable of investigating is whether chemical weapons were employed at the locality or not, and what chemical weapons were used — as for who utilized the chemical weapons, that is another matter. Up until today, the U.S. is still unable to produce reliable evidence that the Syrians used chemical weapons. According to common reasoning, the use of chemical weapons is most likely to come from the side that holds the disadvantage in the war; it is the last resort of a cornered beast, a reckless move taken in desperation. Further inference indicates that those utilizing chemical weapons are terrorists; this kind of action not only creates chaos, it also makes use of one enemy to get rid of another.

Russian President Putin wrote an article for the New York Times, saying he just wanted “to speak directly to the American people … A [U.S. military] strike [against Syria] would increase violence and unleash a new wave of terrorism … Is [military intervention in internal conflicts in foreign countries] in America’s long-term interest?… Millions around the world increasingly see America not as a model of democracy but as relying solely on brute force.” Putin also said: “I welcome the president’s interest in continuing the dialogue with Russia on Syria … If we can avoid force against Syria, this will improve the atmosphere in international affairs and strengthen mutual trust.” Putin has seized this fine opportunity to carry out psychological warfare, superior to 500 cruise missiles; the war has not even begun, and already Putin has Obama down on the ground, while he occupies the moral high ground.
