Trump Needs Putin’s Help To Return to Power*

*Editor’s Note: On March 4, Russia enacted a law that criminalizes public opposition to, or independent news reporting about, the war in Ukraine. The law makes it a crime to call the war a “war” rather than a “special military operation” on social media or in a news article or broadcast. The law is understood to penalize any language that “discredits” Russia’s use of its military in Ukraine, calls for sanctions or protests Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It punishes anyone found to spread “false information” about the invasion with up to 15 years in prison.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump wants to return to the White House and is ready to pursue a completely different policy toward Russia than current U.S. President Joe Biden. This follows statements made by Trump, who is almost the only American politician uninvolved in info wars with Vladimir Putin. Instead, he asked Russia’s president for a favor.

Trump’s request to Putin pertains to Hunter Biden’s activities in Eastern Europe, which Vzglyad recently reported on. Hunter Biden’s peculiar activities are multifold: the development of biological weapons, American organized crime syndicates, drug orgies, attorneys general resignations, sky high compensation and a mandatory 10% lobbying fee paid to the “big guy” (likely Joe Biden).

This was mentioned in a Just the News interview with Trump. On his thorny path, which will likely lead to prosecution, Hunter Biden has dallied with Russia’s richest woman, Yelena Baturina, and her money, as stated in the 2020 U.S. Senate Committee’s report. Trump believes that Putin is aware of these contacts, as well as Hunter Biden’s other activities (which likely involve President Biden) with big Eastern European businessmen, typically known as oligarchs.

Ukraine has access to this information as well, but Trump doesn’t think he can obtain it from there anymore. However, he does think that Putin can disclose everything that Russian intelligence knows and shed light on the Biden family’s corrupt activities.

In other words, Trump asked Putin to help him return to the White House. There are many signs that Trump plans to run again in 2024. Currently, his chances are very good.

If the election took place in the near future, Trump would lead with 47% to Biden’s 41%.

Biden has mentioned his plans to run again several times, but there are rumors that his health won’t allow it. The vice president is a potential successor in such cases; however, Trump would beat Vice President Kamala Harris 49% to 38%. Harris is even less popular than Sleepy Joe (as Trump calls him), who doesn’t even know what he is saying, as reported by his subordinates and colleagues.

However, it is largely pointless to assess Trump’s chances two and a half years away from the election. First, Democratic political strategists should not be underestimated: even though they used dirty methods, they have already beaten Trump once. Second, there is still time for another black swan to land on the scene.

At the start of 2020, it seemed that Trump was cursed and that his potential reelection attempt would be catastrophic for him and conservative America. But the stars aligned, and Trump is eagerly awaiting fall and the congressional midterm elections, which promise a painful defeat for the Democratic Party. In this case, in addition to the many crises the Biden administration is unable to handle — like inflation, migration, Afghanistan and Ukraine —it will also face an opposing Congress.

Then Trump will announce his return, to save the country.

Airing out Joe and Hunter Biden’s dirty laundry is like an insurance policy for ambitious Trump. But what is more interesting is what the White House administration highlighted in response to Trump’s request to Putin.

White House Communications Director Katherine Bedingfield made the following statement: “What kind of American, let alone an ex-president, thinks that this is the right time to enter into a scheme with Vladimir Putin and brag about his connections to Vladimir Putin? There is only one, and it’s Donald Trump.”

In other words, while America’s leading political parties are trying to make the Russian president look as bad as possible (Biden, for example, has used expressions like “war criminal” and “butcher”), there is one politician who profoundly does not care about Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine or the global opposition of Russia, which Washington is imposing on the whole world.

But this isn’t just any politician, but the most popular politician in America, and likely a future U.S. president.

The same skepticism about U.S. interests in Ukraine and the need for a conflict with Putin is promoted by Tucker Carlson, who is also not a nobody, but the most popular television host in the U.S. Among active politicians, Trump is practically the only one destroying the dual-party consensus on opposing Moscow in Eastern Europe.

Previously, the Russian topic was toxic for Trump, as he was directly accused of being Putin’s spy. Now, when it has been officially determined that he’s not a secret agent, but a victim of a political strategy carried out by the Democrats, the media and the FBI, Trump is not afraid to describe Putin’s decision to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics as brilliant. In terms of relations with Russia, Trump opposes Washington almost entirely, and with confidence and comfort.

If, despite all, Trump can win in 2024, Russophobia will no longer be a marketable commodity in American domestic policy. American voters will be concerned with the consequences of an economic war with Russia, like high gasoline prices, and not with the consequences of confronting Putin or supporting Ukraine, which are shoved down their throats by everyone, excluding Trump and Carlson.

This will affect everyone who tried to gain something from Russophobia during Trump’s future second term. If Trump still wishes to get along with Putin, which judging by his latest request is the case, big politics can expect major changes, as big Donald’s hands are finally untied.

2024 is still far away, but Trump’s views on and requests of Moscow can be seen as an interesting socio-political experiment. Results of this experiment will show just how much the average American voter hates Russia — or more precisely, how much they have been trained to hate Russia in the last eight to15 years.

Judging by Trump’s comfortable behavior, his immunity to accusations about working for Russia and his ability to understand his supporters, Americans are getting tired of Ukraine. Not those Americans who continue to support Ukraine, but those who see the consequences of confronting Russia on their receipts and bank statements.
