How Elon Musk’s X Is Supposed To Save the World and Trump

Elon Musk now wants to buy Twitter after all and turn it into the app “X.” All the things that it could make possible one day.

This month was supposed to be the great courtroom duel between Elon Musk and Twitter. The day’s agenda item: dissolution of the engagement contract. Now it is turning into a wedding. Musk wants to buy Twitter after all. At least, that what he says. He was probably moved to change his mind by the realization that he would have lost the lawsuit.

Musk announced on Twitter that he wants to create a new app out of Twitter called “X.” It would be an app for everything, based on the Chinese model WeChat, where you can not only chat and read messages but also play games, order food, pay for goods or services and even apply for a visa.

Of course, someone like Musk is not satisfied with merely copying. How about a new function for conducting political polls? Musk could not only spread his peace plans via Twitter but also allow the residents of the territories taken over by Putin vote on whether they want to defect to Russia. With X, the war would, of course, be over in no time.

And how about a premium function for presidents? They could, for example, issue decrees with the swipe of a finger. X would thus become an alternative tool of governance for the next Trump. On that note, if the purchase does happen, it is all but guaranteed that the ban against the ex-president will be lifted and Trump will return to the platform, just in time for the 2022 midterm elections. The question is only, to Twitter or to X?
