Our Image In Washington

Years ago, the inhabitants of Beverly Hills were surprised that their Arab neighbor was buying a villa overlooking the most beautiful sight in the city.

The next morning, everyone was surprised by the statues adorning the outer walls of the villa. These statues exhibit the sexually explicit and erotic situations found in the Italian city of Pompeii. Pompeii, as this kind of city, was then flooded by ashes from the volcano Vesuvius. The volcano spewed its ashes all over the students of forbidden pleasure and froze them where they stood in 79 AD.

Even the temptresses of Hollywood were offended by these obscene statues and so they presented a joint request to the mayor to remove the them. The people of the city could not sell or rent their homes because of the man with the Vesuvius statues. Then there were those who appeared among us who said that men like the owner of of the statues created negative stereotypes about all Arab and Muslims. These propagated impressions are shameful to our religion and Arab identity.

In the past weeks, the American Progress Foundation published a field study that revealed that Arabs are not at fault for the distortion of their image. This distortion falsely highlighted Arabs as slandering thieves, con-artists and licentious. It has solidified the manufactured fear of Islam and contempt for Arabs schemes — men who have contributed more than $40 million to this process between 2004 and 2008. These actors included study centers, historians, journalists, broadcasters and television stations.

The study says that the network of Islamic fear (Islamophobia) receives the greatest support from the Friends of Israel scattered amongst the American people. It is political group far to the right and full of extreme, ultra-fanatical church leaders, owners of television stations and radio evangelicals.

The study included multiple data that indicate that anti-Arab and anti-Muslim sentiment was only exacerbated after 9/11 following the attack on the World Trade Center. This sentiment wasn’t born on this date, its roots were born years, even decades before that.

The study says that this is what some American politicians say about Jerusalem, the Palestinians, and the rest of the Arab people in their current campaigns. These things are continuously repeated and backed up by the data of study centers funded by a network of tentacles expanding into the parties. This network tightened its grip on 90 television stations throughout the states covering America completely in addition to 212 local and major newspapers. The study showed that the “Stop Building Mosques” campaign has received support from celebrities like Pat Robertson, John Hagee, Ralph Reed and Franklin Graham.

The study made clear the fact that there was a comprehensive financing of 3,000 books on the history of anti-Arab sentiment, the Islamic religion and the Palestinian cause. The study also highlighted the negative aspects of the libel that was fabricated and spread in every public school and library written by Daniel Pipes, Frank Gaffney, Steven Emerson and Robert Spencer.

We have found that the rich Arabs have donated $10 million a year to correct the negative stereotypes about our people and our Islam. We see that only a small number have been detected amongst the Arab Spring who subsisted on the tens of billions of dollars deposited into two Arab leaders, and not many survived when the people overthrew them.
