America: The Source of Chaos and Destruction around the World

America’s intrusion into world affairs and its absence of rivals has become a source of instability and all kinds of chaos. Wherever America goes, ruin and destruction follow. This isn’t limited to the country’s military interventions; rather, ruin and destruction accompany its political and economic intrusions, too.

America doesn’t have one government. Different powers fight over four areas. There is the White House, the Department of Defense, the State Department and the lobbying groups. The latter includes the Jewish lobby, which embodies political, religious and economic interests and has influence in the other three areas. The American government’s performance inside the country and in its foreign policy reflects the struggle between those powers.

Among the most important reasons that the powers fight each other are the variation of interests between them (or whoever represents them) and the high cost of elections at all levels, particularly the presidential elections. In elections, candidates compete to please the donor groups: the corporations, financial institutions, church and lobbying groups (at the forefront of which is the Jewish lobby). When one wins, he tries to reward the donor groups by securing their interests, which often contradict each other.

Amid this fighting, the interests of the majority of the American people, especially the lower class and racial minorities, get lost. Many people believe that America is free from poverty, but in fact, 50 million Americans live off government food stamps and meals supplied by charity groups, and 70 million have no health insurance. America’s dependence on its military power to secure its interests around the world has deprived it of a clear vision for treating the problems that result from its intrusion into other people’s affairs.

America doesn’t lack studies or research about its internal and external problems; the opposite is true. The large number of studies available complicates matters for three reasons. Firstly, the studies are based on theoretical assumptions that are themselves in want of proving. Secondly, the lobby groups and the groups competing in the American administration are the ones conducting or funding the studies, seeking to prove their own perspectives. Thirdly, America relies on military force or the threat of military force to implement [the recommendations of] these studies and prove the validity of their results.

The war on and occupation of Iraq was based on the assumption that weapons of mass destruction existed. Then, the government forged evidence to prove that assumption. Then they aborted the search for the weapons, and the matter ended in the country’s [Iraq’s] occupation. As for the real reasons behind the occupation, America wanted to control the oil sources, threaten Iran, impose a solution to the Palestinian issue that pleases Israel and test new weapons in order to invigorate weapon production. It tests new weapons on cities and their inhabitants (instead of dummies) to prove their effectiveness, as it did when it hit Japan with atomic bombs and used Agent Orange in Vietnam, which killed people, animals and vegetation. These objectives are the desires of the White House, the Department of Defense, the State Department, the Jewish lobbying powers and the Christian right (which is like Islamic Salafism).

What happened after Iraq’s occupation clearly reflects the absence of a prior plan and vision for managing Iraq. In place of that, America’s dependence on trial and error became clear. Bush and his entourage acknowledged their errors too late. The American forces contributed to the spread of chaos, looting and plundering, and the destruction of private and government property. When the media asked the defense minister at the time about it, his answer was that the people were celebrating their liberation.

The chaos in Afghanistan and Iraq was repeated in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Syria, and the fate of these countries in terms of security and political and economic stability remains unknown.

America’s politicians and military leaders take delight in killing and mutilating people, as happened in Haditha, the Iraqi city, and in Afghanistan. Sham trials of those monsters were conducted and then they were set free on claims of mental illness. Some strategists and political analysts say that American policy is programmed for this purpose, but they haven’t explained the benefits of this programming for America or discussed the alternatives.

America’s publicly stated goal is to spread democracy in the region. It could have achieved that using better, alternative means, so why didn’t it do so? America’s barely hidden goal is to control the oil resources. It could have achieved these goals using better, alternative means too, so why didn’t it? How will Americans benefit from Wahabi thought controlling the region and the terrorism that accompanies it, as happened with al-Qaida and the Taliban? America differs from British and French colonialism because, where the latter countries considered oil to be their own property, American companies buy oil at market value in the world exchange. So why all this fumbling about?

In the absence of a rational answer to these questions, there remains only one possible explanation: the psychological deficiency of the American personality. This personality is characterized by three instincts: violence, arrogance and a love of controlling others. America’s military power encourages it to follow these instincts on ventures despite the negative effects they have on America and others. America’s ability to secure its interests by force has given the politicians and strategists the incorrect impression that they are right, which has encouraged them to repeat their mistakes.

The statements of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice about how the blueprint of the Greater Middle East is almost finished are evidence of what I have discussed; they were deluded and arrogant when she should have felt embarrassed by failure. Rice is a good example of the destructive American personality, which conceives the ruin pervading the Middle East as a clear victory for the country’s reckless policies, overlooking the human and material losses. She rejoices at news of people being killed and evicted because they aren’t Americans and because she and Obama have forgotten or tried to forget how white man subjugated their generations and their ancestors.

The only solution for confronting the danger America poses is the return of Russia and China as military powers and, in this manner, the return of the Cold War.
