The Anti-China Front Steps Up Its Attack

In Wednesday’s morning news, we learned that President of the Czech Senate Jaroslav Kubera is going through with his trip to Taiwan, and this has supposedly really upset President Milos Zeman. This gesture by Kubera is possibly worse than Prague Mayor Zdenek Hrib’s renunciation of an agreement with Beijing. At least Hrib was headed to Taiwan to the land of his friends, where he’d studied and learned how to tell it like it is to that communist China. Not only did Kubera not study there, but it’s also doubtful he has friends there. But this is about something else. So I’m not surprised that he upset the president, who knows exactly where Kubera’s gesture is aimed.

As it appears, the anti-China front is stepping up its attack, especially after such powers as Germany and France have refused to submit to the United States in the matter of Huawei. But there is still a Czech Republic loyal to the U.S. that is waiting to be petted and willing to substitute for Germany and France. That’s why there is so much joy on Czech television over the electoral success of the “democratic forces” in Hong Kong – even though for several months, those people have not behaved democratically at all – and over the idea that they will apparently keep up their protests until they’ve achieved total victory.

That’s why the Security Information Service* tells us that the number of Chinese agents on our soil has grown exponentially and is trying to lure us into its intelligence intrigues. That’s why Czech television revealed to us this week that the poor Uighurs have been sent to reeducation camps surrounded by walls and that the Muslim enclave in China wants to preserve its national customs and to open mosques that Chinese authorities have closed. Simply everywhere you look, you, the TV viewer and public radio listener, are warned of Chinese agents and Chinese oppression and how they would like to bring it to us. Only we are vigilant, decisive and democratic. The only thing left to add is: We’re with you, America, even when you’re wrong, because only you can save us once more, even from ourselves if necessary.

Behind everything that happens in our country, behind those condemnations and attempts to destroy Chinese firms, are none other than the servants of Donald Trump’s United States, because they alone know what our country needs, and what they say is “the truth.” And China, its regime, its independence from the U.S., according to these Czech sycophants, is a thorn in the side of the world’s policeman, which would like to turn the “wheel of history” way back, and not at all toward greater democracy and progress. Our “purely true and purely democratic” media, which is increasingly losing its luster, will grovel in the mud to please those across the ocean.

* Translator’s note: The Security Information Service is the Czech Republic’s main domestic intelligence service.
