With the Democratic party seemingly locked in an unending power struggle, Barack Obama has still found his way back to the victory trail after a loss of form. With his decisive victory in North Carolina and razor-thin loss in Indiana, Hillary Clinton will hardly be able to deny Obama the nomination.

Hillary now has the power to bring change to America because the real winner is not Obama, but the Republican candidate John McCain. Only a strong and united Democratic Party will be able to stop Vietnam veteran John McCain, so it makes no sense for the Democrats to prolong the internal duel in their party. The longer the war between Clinton and Obama goes on, the stronger McCain becomes.

McCain stands for a continuation of George Bush’s politics. Only the face is different. Hillary Clinton has already had her chance to govern next to her husband, so she’s not the embodiment of change either.

If Hillary Clinton really wants political change in America, she needs to give her party a new boost: she should give up her candidacy and throw her complete support behind Obama.

That’s the only hope the Democrats have of winning the White House back.

Im scheinbar endlosen Machtkampf der Demokraten in Amerika hat Barack Obama nach einem Formtief auf die Siegerspur zurückgefunden: Mit seinem rauschenden Erfolg in North Carolina und der nur ganz knappen Niederlage in Indiana ist es für Hillary Clinton kaum noch zu schaffen, Obama die Präsidentschaftskandidatur zu nehmen.

Hillary Clinton hat es nun in der Hand, den Wechsel in Amerika einzuleiten. Denn der wahre Gegner ist ja nicht Obama sondern der Kandidat der Republikaner, John McCain.

Nur eine starke Partei der Demokraten kann den Vietnam-Veteranen McCain stoppen.

Da macht es für die Demokraten keinen Sinn, das innerparteiliche Duell unnötig lange fortzusetzen. Je länger der Kampf zwischen Clinton und Obama dauert, desto stärker wird McCain.

McCain steht für die Fortsetzung der Politik von George W. Bush mit anderem Gesicht. Hillary Clinton hat an der Seite ihres Mannes die Chance zum Mitregieren schon gehabt. Auch sie ist nicht die Verkörperung des Wandels.

Wenn Hillary Clinton wirklich einen Politikwechsel in Amerika will, dann sollte sie jetzt ihrer Partei neuen Schub geben: ihre Kandidatur aufgeben und mit voller Kraft für Obama kämpfen. Nur so haben die Demokraten eine Chance, das Weiße Haus zurückzuerobern.
