U.S. Forces Killing More Afghan Civilians
This position comes after the decision of U.S. President Barack Obama to deploy additional troops in Afghanistan, and the U.S. administration's request to its allies to supply more troops to the area, as to not fall prey to the Taliban-led Afghani resistance.
Spain’s declaration coincides with the increase in the number of Afghan civilians killed by the U.S. occupation troops. Last week, after an investigation, the U.S. approved the killing of 13 civilians and three militants in an air raid on southern Afghanistan.
The U.S. forces' initial claim was that the air raid carried out on Monday on the province of Herat in the region of Josara –aimed at a WANTED militant leader– killed up to 15 militants.
