America’s DiscriminatoryTreatment of Muslims

On Friday, nine Muslim travelers in an American passenger flight were barred for allegedly having some suspicious conversations. According to sources, nine Muslim tourists were dragged out of their scheduled flight from Reagan Airport, Washington DC, to Orlando, Florida as they started a conversation on the topic of what the safest place on the plane would be if someone had a bomb. Upon hearing this conversation, other passengers traveling on the flight complained to the flight staff, causing them to be interrogated. One of them was allowed to travel on the same flight, while the other eight were declared innocent after the interrogation and sent to their destination on another flight. The FBI asserts that this humiliation of the travelers was the result of a misunderstanding.

The above mentioned incident is enough to understand the general attitude of the American administration and other American organizations who fret and fear [Muslim terrorists] and [so encourage] the anti-Muslim feelings. While American officials and administration view Muslims suspiciously, there is also a background agenda of exploiting these kinds of incidents to promote feelings of insecurity and anxiety into the minds of the general public. These types of steps convey the clear message to the whole world about Americans and Europeans who are feeling so insecure and fearful regarding the so-called “terrorism” by Muslims.

After the investigations, the travelers were found to be innocent. However, the incident shows that they were discriminated against for the sole reason of being Muslim. This manner of treatment towards Muslim by American officials means that it is time for international human rights organizations to ponder why this kind of discriminatory behavior is adopted towards Muslims. Although the incident caused agony to some travelers, the conscience of the whole world is still silent over the fact that America and its alliance forces captured a Muslim country, and until now more than a million people have been killed, and American and its allied forces are still occupying Iraq. After the worst kind of brutality that ever happened in the history of the world, the American president tells the world that he had attacked Iraq on the basis of a misunderstanding, as the CIA had presented the wrong information to him that Iraq has chemical weapons.

Even after the killings of more than a million innocent people, the American president is not ashamed of his malicious act. The shoe hurling journalist of the oppressed Iraq is still in prison.

Now onto the matter of the Palestinian crisis. Rather than condemning Israel’s act of massacring Muslims, American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says that Hamas should not retaliate against the brutality of Israel and should have to provide assurance that it would never launch rocket attacks on the country.

It is the time to ponder why the United Nation is silent today on the cruelty towards Muslims, but it should have to keep the fact in its mind that there always will be a limit to tolerating injustice. One day, when the oppressed will rise, then nobody will be able to control them. In this regard, it becomes the responsibility of all the world nations, and Muslims countries, to rise up simultaneously against the oppressions of the American and its allied forces and not only condemn the oppressions caused by them, but also to take severe practical steps in this regard.
