Voice of the Voiceless

Three years ago, The Christian Science Monitor revealed that the administration of George W. Bush had ended efforts to improve America’s image abroad. They adopted a new policy that used the visibility of Muslim extremists to justify a war against all Muslims.

In other words, America has sacrificed its image in order to tarnish ours. They declared a fierce war against us, targeting our faith, religion and civilization. What did we do to engage in this war, and what are our weapons? The answer is that for many years, we’ve had an urgent need for the weapon of the Islamic media. While utilizing our various Islamist approaches, we need the media to fill in the huge gaps between them, joining words with action, and theory with application.

Islam Channel is the first English-language Islamic channel broadcasting from London via satellite. It represents the beacon of enlightened Islamic media. The news is viewed by nearly 59 percent of British Muslims.

This channel designated as its duty the consecration of the concept of the centrist Islamic approach throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. They use the Internet and cable to direct live broadcasts across five continents, under the logo: “We are the voice of the voiceless.”

The need for the Islamic nation to have a prominent critical voice for Muslim communities all over the world is urgent and severe. From this need came the Islam Channel project, as it spreads the truth of Islam to non-Muslims, who are also searching for knowledge of our world. These forms of media have become the most dangerous weapons of our generation! How will these weapons change our world?

Locally, there has been significant progress with respect to the Islamic media, yet we have reached very few countries abroad. Because of our lack of international outreach, we remain unable, both quantitatively and qualitatively, to deal with the plots targeting the Muslim world, trying to defame its image and to justify bloodshed.

Hegel would say the following about most media: “The newspaper is the morning prayer of the secular modern man!”

Despite that this comes from an atheist, the saying applies equally well to current forms of media.
