Ann Coulter: the "conservative Republican" who is only embarrassing both Republicans and conservatives. I do not understand how she has managed, if not for her controversial aura, to make the headlines of U.S. media and even write books on political opinion under the racism of the new millennium.
But then I remember that there is reading for every taste and level. I do not understand how "gringos’" newspapers were giving her space to write her columns, but then this comes to mind: sensationalistic opinions, albeit radical, sell.
The last straw was Coulter's statement in a Fox News show proposing that the U.S. should treat Mexico the way Israel is treating Gaza, claiming that the U.S. should bomb Mexico to stop immigration. She had the gall to compare it to the situation in Gaza, strongly suggesting that the United States needs to apply the same measures Israel has implemented.
Her latent inferiority complex disguised as racism made her say on Fox that "for decades, Mexicans have been about 30 percent of all legal immigrants to the United States, while only a smidgen more than 1 percent come from Great Britain. Is that fair? Granted, their food is better, but why is it the norm is to have nearly 30 times as many Mexican as British immigrants?”
What Coulter fails to remember is that the U.S. is a country of immigrants. So the British do have the right to migrate to the U.S., for they are white and "pretty," according to her backwards standards?
And as for the alarming cases of Ebola, she said that helping Ebola patients is "idiotic [sic],” criticizing Dr. Brantly, who was infected in West Africa and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Atlanta: "If [Brantly] had provided health care for the uninsured editors, writers, videographers and pundits in Gotham and managed to open one set of eyes, he would have done more good than marinating himself in medieval diseases of the Third World." Once again, her limited intelligence does not allow her to realize that Ebola is not a medieval disease, but one from last century.
I am not dedicating this column to her in order to celebrate her opinions, which fall into severe mental regression, but because I am worried that she is figuring in the mass media of her country. The fact that she is appearing on national television spouting comments so racist, so sensationalistic, and so full of radical stupidity is alarming because Coulter’s opinion exerts influence on so many people.
She herself admits in her latest sketch (because it cannot be called a newspaper column) that she knows "God didn't distribute brains evenly." Reading her statements, we have no choice but to agree with her. Those who are born with limited intelligence will stay that way, even if they try to disguise it with verbiage, prose and books.
