For the first time, Kim Kardashian’s stepfather reveals the name she has chosen in an exclusive press release.
On Monday, Jenner activated her new Twitter account. Her first post was retweeted over 213,000 times: “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self.”
Jenner was not only one of the most talked-about topics on social media, but she also broke the record for the fastest-growing Twitter account. Gaining 1 million followers in just four hours and three minutes, Jenner beat President Obama himself, whose own account @POTUS took almost five hours to reach the same figure.
Her 88-year-old mother, Esther, has declared Caitlyn to be “beautiful,” but admits she will continue to call her Bruce: “I’m very happy for him — or her!”
ABC has announced that Jenner will be receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this year’s EPSYs. Jenner tells Vanity Fair she suffered a panic attack after undergoing a 10-hour facial-feminization surgery on March 15. The magazine also confirms that Jenner is yet to undergo genital reassignment surgery.
