Obama’s Accomplishment

I had a chance to watch one of the first public appearances of Barack Obama at the federal level in the U.S. at the Democratic convention in 2004. This performance was so inspirational and brilliant, both in essence and form, that most of the people started thinking that this man should be the president of America. And he indeed became the U.S. president with the help of his slogans about world peace, which served as a contrast to George W. Bush’s aggressive policy.

What do we have at the end of the second term of Barack Obama’s presidency: expansion of the conflict zone in the Middle East, even more economic instability in the world, and millions of refugees.

However, it is necessary to understand that President Obama is not engaged in the development of U.S. foreign policy — he just speaks for others and implements the strategic planning of other political figures.

Yes, as a president, he is responsible for the final result, but it will be wrong to submit complaints to his address.

In foreign policy, Obama is a speaker who is reading his script from a teleprompter.

All of Barack Obama’s ambitions initially were dedicated to the sphere of domestic policy. Yes, he wanted to make the U.S. system more fair and medical insurance available to every single American citizen.

Even nowadays, 33 million Americans still do not have medical insurance. Instead, medical insurance companies grabbed themselves an even bigger jackpot.

However, there is one indisputable achievement that Obama accomplished — he became the first African-American president of the United States. For the U.S., this fact has become a real victory over racism, which for a long time served as the ideological basis for discrimination and violent acts. Here, however, the victory belongs to a greater extent to the American people who have elected the first African-American president.

Obama became a symbol of support and hope, which was implemented in at least one thing.
