America Is Concerned about Its Imprisoned Spies in Iran

The ABC news network has revealed that Iranian and Lebanese officials have arrested more than 10 American spies who operated on behalf the CIA in these two countries. It is feared that these people are now doomed to be punished in Iran and Lebanon.

According to the Tabnak report, four former and current officials who now operate with the American intelligence community have expressed concern regarding the imprisonment and possible punishment of the American spies in Iran and Lebanon. Based on this report, one of these officials said that spying in a country like Iran is a risky business. As such, America has lost a significant number of its spies in Iran during the last six months. This report added that the CIA spies arrested in Lebanon will be punished severely; it is possible that they will not be seen again.

America, along with other countries, enforces the strictest of laws against spies in its own country, even going so far as to imprison people in special prisons for years based only on the suspicion of espionage. Therefore, the imprisonment of American spies in Iran is a revelation.

به گزارش «تابناک»، چهار تن از مقامات سابق و کنونی که هم‌اکنون با جوامع اطلاعاتی آمریکا فعالیت می‌کنند، از دستگیری این جاسوسان در ایران و لبنان و مجازات احتمالی آنان احساس نگرانی کرده‌اند.

بنا بر این گزارش، یکی از همین مقامات می‌گوید که جاسوسی در کشوری چون ایران، فرایندی خطرپذیر است، به گونه‌ای که آمریکا شمار چشمگیری از جاسوسان خود را در خلال شش ماه گذشته در ایران از دست داده است.

این گزارش می‌افزاید، جاسوسان «سی‌.آی‌.ای» که در لبنان دستگیر شده‌اند، به سختی مجازات خواهند شد و احتمالا ما دیگر این همکاران را نخواهیم دید.

افشای دستگیری جاسوسان آمریکایی در ایران، در حالی است که آمریکا از جمله کشورهایی است که سخت‌ترین قوانین مبارزه با جاسوسی را در کشور خود اجرا می‌کند و حتی افراد مشکوک به جاسوسی را سال‌ها در زندان‌هایی خاص نگه می‌دارد.
