Trump Names Man Fomenting Revolution in the U.S.*
*Editor’s note: On March 4, 2022, Russia enacted a law that criminalizes public opposition to, or independent news reporting about, the war in Ukraine. The law makes it a crime to call the war a “war” rather than a “special military operation” on social media or in a news article or broadcast. Political Analyst Dudakov: Trump knows that George Soros wants to spark a color revolution in the U.S.
Political analyst Malek Dudakov says that President Donald Trump’s call to arrest financier George Soros shows that he believes Soros is “rocking the boat” inside the country and seeking to stage a color revolution in the United States. Still, Dudakov told RIA Novosti that Soros’ arrest is an unlikely scenario.
“Trump’s calls to arrest Soros are unrealistic — no one is going to arrest him. This is more of a public pressure campaign. Trump is signaling that he knows what Soros is doing: destabilizing the situation inside the U.S. and trying, in fact, to orchestrate a color revolution,” Dudakov said.
Dudakov pointed out that there have already been attempts to ignite such a revolution in the U.S., most notably during the Black Lives Matter unrest in 2020. He suggested that something similar could happen again. Soros has been financing numerous protest movements across the country through various nongovernmental organizations, including recent demonstrations in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, reports say that the U.S. National Guard is set to deploy up to 1,700 troops across 19 states to help combat illegal immigration and crime. The troops will support local law enforcement agencies. Protests against Trump’s immigration policy have spread across several states following the events of June 7 in Los Angeles, when an Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid triggered mass riots in downtown Los Angeles.
