The issue of four armed Americans closing in on the home of Salah Abdul Razzaq, governor of Iraq’s capital city of Baghdad, on the 12th of this month pulled back the curtain on the actions of groups of Americans who are carrying out suspicious missions in various regions of Iraq. According to the website of the Al-Alam news network, political observers believe that this indicates that intelligence efforts are being conducted by the American embassy in Baghdad to influence Iraq after the withdrawal of U.S.’ forces. Iraqi politicians assess that these incidents are related to each other — in line with America’s suspicious actions in Baghdad, the goal of which is to neutralize the Iraqi government’s efforts to realize national sovereignty, obtain independence and prevent the influence of foreigners. This type of suspicious activity forced the Iraqi prime minister’s office to give a 10-day grace period to all security companies, especially those active in the embassies, to leave the Green Zone.
