They’re Only Concerned about Themselves

There’s a fairly widespread belief that Western political elites’ aggressive promotion of the rights of sexual minorities, despite the civil protests in many countries, is the first and foremost concern for this category of citizens in furtherance of adhering to the canons of democracy.

There’s also talk of some ultra-powerful gay lobby (yet at the same time there are no specifics, and in the public’s opinion, it’s something abstract and even mythical.)

But following the publication of scandalous information about the pasts of a number of representatives of the American establishment, one can’t help suspect that by hiding their perverted orientation for a time, they came to power, and then, using that power, they simply championed their own interests.

Here is Clinton who, as we are assured, had a sexual relationship with Yoko Ono.

Here also is a former speaker of the U.S. Congress who is currently being accused of failing to disclose large financial transactions which, in turn, were allegedly necessary to cover up a sex crime against an underage boy.

Actually, one might throw the current scandal in with exposing gay priests from the Vatican (the strange tolerance by certain representatives of Catholicism (and not only) of an obvious biblical sin becomes clear.)

So, most likely, we are dealing with a truly all-powerful (and far from abstract) gay lobby, whose activity is dictated by a concern for its own darling selves and by no means a fight for someone else’s rights. They don’t need rights for sexual minorities. They need their own rights.

Well, that is, these are not progressive and civilized ladies and gentlemen with traditional orientations advocating for gay and lesbian rights around the world, but just such gays and lesbians themselves, only already in power, simply legitimizing that, which for a long time, had to be hidden from their constituents and admirers.
