Dark Clouds over Trump

Little by little, the improper, and allegedly criminal, behavior of the American president is being revealed.

Not a day goes by without a new accusation against the president of the United States, Donald Trump, for his improper and even allegedly criminal behavior. In just a few days, several cases have emerged, and those who have made them public are people from Trump’s innermost circle. His former lawyer, Michael Cohen, has implicated the multimillionaire by pleading guilty to violating campaign finance laws during the campaign that led Trump to the White House. The issue has to do with paying two women significant sums of money to keep their mouths shut about their alleged relationships with Trump. The same lawyer has declared himself willing to cooperate with the investigation into the Russian scheme that has continuously hung over this Republican administration.

In a parallel development, the president’s former campaign chief, Paul Manafort, a relevant figure in this scheme, was convicted of multiple fraud charges. A few days earlier, one of the president’s former staff members published a book in which she told of his racism, misogyny and ignorance. In all these cases, Trump has responded with insults. However, little by little, the absolute moral want of his presidency is being revealed. Up until now, and since being elected, Trump has managed to ride out all the accusations, but judicial processes are always slow, especially when they have to do with such a prominent figure. The question being asked is whether the wave of accusations will end up swallowing the president.
