The quote was in reference to Barack Obama’s statement on Friday, which concerned the anniversary of the beginning of the massacres of Armenians by Turks in 1915, which the President called a “great disaster” and “one of the greatest atrocities in the 20th century”. [Editor’s note: “great disaster” may be a translation of an Armenian phrase used by Obama.]
