There is something about the U.S. vice president that is rare and unique in the world. Since the announcement that she would replace Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee — without any formal declaration, without TV interviews or in-person press conferences, much less with any policy proposals — she has surged in the polls and is now leading Donald Trump in key states, cutting him down to size.

As a matter of fact, she had already selected her running mate, who also didn’t have to start from scratch, getting up to speed little by little. When she became the official candidate and formally kicked off her campaign, there wasn’t much left for Trump. And that implies that, because of her secondary role and limited exposure until now, she should start making herself better known. How is it that this best-kept treasure wasn't better known?
