John McCain surprised the United States and the world by making known the 29th of August, in Dayton, Ohio, his running mate: until then, she was the unknown Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska.

In the time of campaigning through the internet, [the announcement] immediately started an intense internet search to discover who the chosen Republican candidate for the vice presidency was; at the time the media was placing her under severe scrutiny: Who is Sarah Palin and what merits of hers allow her to aspire to the prelude to the leadership of the White House? These were the questions that clobbered the Arizona senator's campaign.

The curiosity quickly turned into a morbid attitude as Sarah, the ex-beauty queen from Alaska, gave rise to a wave of photographs and rigged videos where she appeared in a bathing suit, miniskirt, or carrying arms, in what seemed a social criticism of her alleged frivolousness and her extreme political positions.

The problems for McCain began when the governor opened her mouth. If in the beginning he considered it a success to have elected a woman as the contender for the vice presidency, the nonsense of Sarah, who defines herself as a “hockey mom,” lover of hunting and supporter of drilling her state for oil, ended up a burden that left many doubting the good judgment of McCain.

Sarah left half the world amazed by arguing that she had experience in foreign policy only by stating the fact that Alaska has borders with Russia and Canada. Later came the scandal of her wardrobe.

The Republicans spent one and a half million dollars on clothes so that the candidate looked good, when the United States was already living its worst economic crisis since 1929. In addition, Sarah was declared guilty for abusing her power, having something to do with the firing of her ex-brother-in-law. And worse still, she showed incredible candor in answering the phone call from a Canadian comedian that pretended to be the French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The certain thing is that the year ends with her name as the word most searched in Google, leaving sixth place to Obama. And Sarah sounds already like a Republican aspiring to the White House in 2012.

  1. I think you meant 150,000 not 150,000,000 dollars on clothes.

as far as the average american liking her. no she looked good to our republicans and they are not average.

they are greedy and dumbed down and most vote against their own interest.

they think their freedom is due to our imperialism around the world. wars for profits is their battle cry.

americans are a self centered country that thinks everyone in the world wants to live here.

look close those that come to american are from third world countries.

american imperialism and capitalism is coming to an end but not before it turns america into a third world country.

america has been living on borrowed money and printed money for over three decades to maintain its standard of living.

a republic that tried to build an empire on the backs of third world countries is now in a race to be a third world country.

jesus may have been on to something with his what we sow we reap. 🙂
